Brookfield Town Beach

Brookfield Town Beach features picnic areas, a concession stand, and basketball and volleyball courts, in addition to swimming. The beach opens Memorial Day and stays open until Labor Day, but swimming is available only to town residents and their guests. Season passes are available for resident families from the Brookfield Parks and Recreation Office.

Still River Greenway

Still River Greenway

The Still River Greenway is a multi-use trail and greenway along the Still River in Brookfield, Connecticut. With both phases complete, the trail runs from the Brookfield Municipal Center, to the Brookfield Town Center and is completely paved.

Candlewood Town Park

Candlewood Town Park is in the town of Danbury, and includes playgrounds, picnic tables, boat docks, benches and a concession stand, in addition to a 600-foot swimming beach. The Candlewood Town Park beach typically has three lifeguards on duty between Memorial Day and Labor Day, though hours vary.

Squantz Pond

Squantz Pond State Park and Boat Launch

Squantz Pond State Park is the only state park on Squantz Pond or Candlewood Lake. The beach, swim area and main park grounds, along with hiking trails along the Pootatuck State Forest, are along the shores of Squantz Pond, which is adjacent to Candlewood. Squantz Pond State Park has a boat launch, giving visitors access to boating on Squantz Pond. Be aware, that Squantz Pond's boat launch has a limited number of parking spaces (25) for vehicles and also limits the horsepower of boats launching on Squantz Pond to 25 horsepower. Lyn Demming Park

Located on the shore of Candlewood Lake's New Milford Bay, Lynn Deming Park has a beach open to swimming between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty, though hours vary. Access is limited to residents of New Milford, their guests and nonresidents with a valid day pass.
